    Question Problem buring DVD

    Hello all,
I m experiencing a peculiar problem now. I use DVD decryptor for writing movie files and this has been working fine so far. But now, when i try to write movie files (ISO), it says the DVD write is successful. But when i try to play the Same DVD again in my laptop, it says unrecognizable format" I also tried playing it in my dvd player and its not recognizing it.

First i thought it was a problem with the DVD media (Philips DVD-R). I then tried with Fuji DVD-R. But it also showed the same error.

I tried burning data files / audio files in CD and it is working fine.

The software i used for burning files is Nero, DVD FAB, DVD Decryptor. All failed when i tried burning DVD.

Can any one help where the problem is ?

    Thanks,
    Sundar

So other -R dvds can be read ok?

When you burn the ISO, do you burn the iso as a file or burn from image and select the iso?

    Hello,
    Thanks for your reply.

I use dvd shrink 3.2 to create a ISO file from the DVD. I tried writing my backup version of old ISO file. But that is also giving me the same error.

Also, i tried creating a Data DVD. its also failing?

Try cleaning the lenses with a cleaning CD.

When you use Nero 8, exactly what do you choose to write the DVD?

I use Nero 6.6.0.13 version. It has options to burn ISO files

Other than that i use dvd decryptor (which i have been using for the past 1 year). I also tried DVD Fab trial version

    Thanks,

The latest version of Nero 6 is 6.6.1.16. You should go to Nero.com and get the latest update for Nero.

Also please post the last Nero burn log.
