What happens exactly when you place the BR disk in and try to play it?
    What system is this?
Is it recognized in My Computer?
Did you load the software to play this unit?
I see nero has a special addin for it

Do you have the proper codecs installed?

    Wink B ray problem

I have just tried the BD again and it now comes with error message saying along the lines that windows dose not recognize this format.

But I have just tested it with a standard DVD and it plays fine, I use Cyberlink's Power DVD player V5 I think

AS where do I find these Code-cs that are mentioned

And yes the player is recognized by PC.

Trainshed, didn't your drive come with WinDVD 8? You have got to have a more modern player than your old version of PowerDVD, but that should have been included with the drive.

NO it did not come with what you mentioned, but I have recently purchased Cyberlink's Power DVD Ultra, but there is a problem with that, the unlock code I have with the software is incorrect, I have contacted Cyberlink and have brought it to there attention a few days ago and they acknowledged the problem as other purchases of the said software have had the sane problem.

Cyberlink are usually very quick with responses - have you checked your spam box? Gone back to the site and logged in?

Personally, Trainshed, I'm still amazed someone sold you a bare drive! All the vendors I've seen selling them bundle Corel software that includes WinDVD 8.
