My Mum has passed away
Sad to say my Mum passed away at about 9:30 this morning, aged 91.
I thought I posted about this in the early hours of this morning before leaving for the hospital to sit with her, but the post must have failed.
She was only taken ill mid-Sunday morning, and I sat with her through the afternoon and evening, then got the call from the hospital about 2:30 am saying they didn't think she'd last until the morning.
I drove across to the hospital and sat with her until she died peacefully, she was content to go and have no more ill health and pain.
The suddenness is a little hard to deal with but was blessedness for her.

Hey old friend.
91 sounds like a fine age to live to, I hope I make it there. And if there's a better place out there somewhere, I'm sure she's there.
I'm not real religious but I'll give you my version of a prayer and my condolences.
At least you could be with her at the time.

My condolences as well, Platy. My Mom is 78 and in poor health as well, so I know exactly what you are going through. I just keep thinking that when she finally passes, she will be in Heaven and happy.

My mother is now 83 and although she is very healthy.
I know that day isnt that far in the future and
I am not looking forward to it.
91 is a good long life but if she wasnt in good health,
that isnt an easy time. Again my condolences

Platypus, my condolences.
My Mum was 69... but the age doesn't matter in a way, the loss of a Mum is the loss of a Mum.
But so good you could be with her, am sure that was a comfort to her.
Thinking of you ...

I'm so sorry Graeme. A friend of mine died last week, followed by a friend's mum and now you as well. A very sad week for many people who were touched by their lives.
