Sorry to hear about the loss of your Mum

I thought I posted about this in the early hours of this morning before leaving for the hospital to sit with her, but the post must have failed.
She was only taken ill mid-Sunday morning, and I sat with her through the afternoon and evening, then got the call from the hospital about 2:30 am saying they didn't think she'd last until the morning.
I drove across to the hospital and sat with her until she died peacefully, she was content to go and have no more ill health and pain.
The suddenness is a little hard to deal with but was blessedness for her.
The sudden loss of a loved one is hard to deal with Platypus even more so when it is a parent. My heart goes out to you. It was nice that you could be with your mum when she passed away. I will keep you in my prayers.
I have lost a few relatives, but the sudden death of mine and my partner's dog Benji was very sad. He was the type of dog that people say, he has been on this earth before. He was a big, beautiful mastiff X but oh so gentle. We have another small, beautiful dog she is still with us.
I hope you don't mind me mentioning his passing.

Thank you to everybody for your kind words.
The funeral is tomorrow, after I've got everything in order I'll be able to get back to everyday life.

Very sorry to hear that. At least you had her here for a long time. I know that's not much consolation, but it's something everyone goes through.
