I have tested with 3 different drivers i have found for this sound card

    1:Xpress audio
2:Native Audio Geode Driver for win98 and win2000
3:and some 16bit audio driver that was included with a audio driver package

One thing thats is weird is a need to driver to get this work and i have both of them

Now i have the computer in front of me now. Here is the what windows name the drivers to and i have tested

    1:Geode - Native Mode Audio Driver (Win98 and Win2000) 5- 4-2004
    2:National XpressAUDIO (TM) 16-bit Sound 8- 2-1999
    3:XpressAUDIO(TM) 16-bit sound 3- 3-1998

And what im understand windows need a driver is also installed in the category Multimedia drivers in device manager with name National XpressAUDIO(TM) PCI Bridge 8- 2-1999 i could also choose one year older driver if i want but with no sucess

You say you have 98 on this... 98 and wdm drivers especially sound drivers would screw up. The best drivers are the vxd based drivers... 95 drivers always work.

The link I put up has different (and newer) driver versions.

Yep, there doesn't appear to be any 9x vxd drivers for it.
