[RESOLVED] Mic doesn't work.
I have a question. My mic doesn't work. And I think it's related to the following:
When I bootup the system I get a message that says this:
Cannot find ESS PCI Audio Adapter.
What do I need to do to correct this problem?
Thanks for anyone that is able to help.

UNINSTALL YOUR SOUND CARD IN DEVICE MANAGER , REBOOT AND RE-INSTALL YOUR DRIVERS WHEN WINDOWS FINDS THE SOUND CARD

Okay - here's something....
When I go into my Device Manager as mentioned... I see no ESS PCI device.
I only see ALS120 Logical Device (Avance Logic)
What's this mean? Is that my acutal sound card then? And why would my computer even be commenting on the ESS PCI device?

Your ALS card probably has an ESS chip , remove the ALS info from Device Manager , reboot , and re-install the drivers when Windows finds the card .
