    Drivers for my Laptop

Hello guys, I'm new to your community and I have a question...

Recently i downgraded my vista to xp ... but my laptop would get too hot and it would turn off... so i installed Vista back to my computer... I downloaded most of the drivers, but my video card driver wont install.
    I have Hp dv2745se laptop.

    Laptop Specifications:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...reg_R1002_USEN

I went to hp.com and downloaded all of the drivers from the support page, but the driver for my video card gives me error... Then i went to nvidia website and downloaded drivers from there...

When I try to install drivers from NVIDIA website i get this error:
"The NVIDIA Setup program could not locatee any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit".

And when i try to install driver from hp.com support website i get this error:
"Setup detected that the operating system in use is not Windows Vista [32-bit]/Vista[64-bit]. This setup progra and its asociated drivers are designed to run only on Windows Vista [32-bit0/Vista[64-bit]. The installation will be terminated".

I think that for the second error, from the hp.com support the driver won't work because I have Windows Vista Ultimate, and my old Vista were Home edition (can this be a problem?) .

But then I don't know why the drivers from nvidia website won't work.

    Could any1 help me please???

    Thank you very much.

    Welcome to Windrivers Epic

The error you are getting from HP is not likely to be because you are using Ultimate instead of home.

Did you just double click the file you downloaded to start the install, or did you right click and run as administrator?

The nvidia drivers from the website won't work because you have HP nvidia graphics and they do this to ensure you use only the HP drivers. It's standard practice.

Do you have Service Pack 1 installed? Did the laptop come with Service Pack 1 installed? Is the laptop out of warranty?

Did you install 64bit or 32 bit vista?
Did you install the chipset software here?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
