Unhappy DVD Drivers Needed IN A HUGE WAY

I was uninstalling some application programs in my UNINSTALLER and accidently uninstalled my drivers for both of my cd drives. They are as followed:

    HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8162B

    LITE-ON LTR-482465 DVD

Could anyone help find a source to replace them?

Both of my drivers won't read because I uninstalled the drivers.

Prior to my doing this, they worked fine. It was totally my mistake.

I would appreciate any help with this issue.

I live in a remote area in Northern Canada and have absolutely no one to help me. The closest town is 5 hoours drive away and this time of year it isn't the ideal time to travel as it is -47 below Zero.

    Thanking you in advance

    Welcome to Windrivers Charlene

Actually it is highly unlikely you uninstalled the drivers. What you may have done was uninstall some software which makes use of the DVD.

Most likely these were PowerDVD or WinDVD for playing DVD video and a burning application such as Nero or Roxio.

What make and model is this PC? What windows are you running? Iit may well be that you can restore these applications separately.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

If you are using XP I would also suggest going back to before the change was made with System Restore.

The problem is most likely the old filter driver issue, which happens in both XP and Vista. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060
