It's hard to beat Spybot Search & Destroy and Malwarebytes Antimalware. Both free and effective. My only word of caution with Sypbot is don't enable System Protection/Tea Timer when you install the program.

Tucows.com, majorgeeks.com, and download.com are all safe sites to download copies of both Spybot and Malwarebytes. The sites search functions will take you right to the software.

Yep. I do a lot of work on site, so some weeks I never leave the office and some weeks I'm never in it.

hey
hey i once also ran into that problem.. mine would direct me to a website to download the program to fix it.. i asked an engineer at work i had mcafee and for some reason anti spy 360 was showing up in my system.. he told me it was the virus.. so instead of sending my computer off to get it fixed he walked me through a system reboot and installed all of my software it worked hope this helps

Well sad to say but McAfee isn't much good at anything other than looking pretty. Malwarebytes and Spybot can be found on the sites provided you click on the titles I just linked. If this is your work computer at your business and you are not the sysadmin you may need to get permission before you install the software.
One Script to rule them all.
One Script to find them.
One Script to bring them all,
and clean up after itself.
