Biostar P43-A7 Socket 775
I am using this board withTWIN2X4096-8500C5, 1066 MHz memory.
The problem I have is the memory is showing at 800Mhz at system POST and in the BIOS and it will not let me increase the speed.
anyone got any ideas?

It could be because that Ram is DDR2 and the Bios manual specifically says DDR3.
"DRAM Frequency
This item allows you to control the Memory Clock.
Options: Auto (Default) / DDR3 800 / DDR3 1066 / DDR3 1333"
http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/...t.php?S_ID=437 (the Bios Manual downloads in a zip file with the Manual download. They unpack to 2 pdf's.

Intel Mod
Looks like your mouse pointer slipped selecting the model, CCT:

Collio, the 1066 Memory speed is designated as an overclock, depends on what that means to Biostar.

CRAP!
Thanks Plat - I hate that!
The real Bios manual says :"DRAM Frequency
This item allows you to control the Memory Clock.
Options: Auto (Default) / DDR2 667Mhz / DDR2 800Mhz"
The HomePage says: "MEMORY
Support Dual Channel DDR2 667/800/1066(OC) MHz
4 x DDR2 DIMM Memory Slot
Max. Supports up to 8GB Memory"
The (OC) says it all.
