What bios do i have i have looked for days!!!!

I have a gateway laptop model#m360sb, and dont know what to do!i found updated bios from gateway but i dont know how to install them, if they are even the right ones. Can anyone help????

If you run XP, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information - should give the Bios info.

Once you download it, click on it and let it install and then run it from the icon on your desktop.

Click on the + sign beside 'Computer', then on 'Summary'.

Under Motherboard should be the Bios ID.


However, be sure you REALLY need a Bios update before doing so.

Mistakes kill mobos.

I agree with CCT. Only update the mother board BIOS if you have to.
