    Which Memory would you recommend

I am thinking of getting the new Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H AMD 890GX (Socket AM3) motherboard,

What RAM would you recommend to go with this board?

I am looking at having about 6 or 8 gig in my system.

My budget is about £200 to £300

I have choosen this memory but I am not sure what you guys think, I'm sure it is compatable with this board if not please correct me.

    Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit x2

    Corsair Dominator GT 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-14400C7 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit x2

This memory has great timings but also is expensive, it also very tall.

If I get this memory: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=8&subcat=1517

will I have a problem fitting it with my CPU Cooler being so big?

    Thanks

    Thanks

I would stick with either mobo manufacturer's recommended list or something that is listed by the memory's manufacturer for that board. Short of that - memory that has been verified by others and confirmed to work without any issues whatsoever.
In real life higher speed memory doesn't have that much impact due to caching (usually 90% of hits are in cache), so you only see 10% of the performance difference from a "slower" memory.

guess you dont have to trouble yourself on what to recommend as motherboard has list of compatible RAM and no other option but to deal with it. IMO
