    Angry Activation Nightmare

Here is the problem: Had to PC's on a domain. They needed to be removed from the domain. Simple, wipe drive partition reinstall. PC 1 worked fine. PC 2 did same thing installed the XP Pro, activated over internet, activation completed. Installed drivers for sound, video, & ect. Rebooted, comes up and states, "XP needs to be activated, expired and cannot continue until activated." What???? OK, go through phone call process, verified, reactivated, screen comes up and what the heck, says it needs to be activated again before I can go to the desktop. I say OK, it pops up saying it is already activated and starts this loop all over again.

Weird part is I can go to safe mode and it comes up fine. Any ideas as to how to get this up and running?
It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!

Update: Something interesting here, it goes into safemode fine as long as it is not safemode with network, if I try that I have the same activation problem. Apparantly it has something to do with the network.
