XP 'run as' causing problems
I'm trying to setup UVNC (remote access) software on a computer, everything installs fine until I try to edit any of the admin properties. As soon as I click ok the Windows XP "run as" box appears and asks me 'Which user account do you want to use to run this program?'
Whatever I try fails with 'logon errors' or 'user account restriction'.
There are two accounts on the box, administrator and ASP.NET, I have tried adding/removing the password for admin but nothing works.

Double-check that the secondary logon service is started.
IMHO you'll be better off using remote desktop instead of VNC flavors (unless you NEED the user to be able to watch and interact with the screen). Much better performance, clipboard sharing, network/printer sharing... I gave up on VNC many years ago...
And BTW why RUN AS if you have a single account???

Check for malware, rootkits. Make sure the guest account is turned off.

Its not malware, guest account is off.
Problem is with the VNC service so will look into using Windows Remote Desktop instead.

Are you using XP Home or Professional? I would suggest making a new admin account and trying with that account.

Thanks for the suggestions, it was the UVNC service trying to run as system rather than admin. Switched to Teamviewer for remote access now.
