Younger Child when she was very small, but precocious. She not only dressed on her own, but fixed her hair and accessorized herself.

This one just made me laugh and have an all around good day.

Thank you! Yes, they are indeed upside down. She didn't quite get that concept yet. What cracks me up is the purse, since at 14, Younger Child now owns more purses and pocketbooks than anyone I've ever known. And she keeps on adding to the collection.

A fortune in purses for sure, but until just recently, she was nearly totally indifferent about what she wore. Now, she's got some stuff she likes, but it was reasonable. Probably her favorite garment is her Planet Express (Futurama) T-shirt. She did pick out a couple of pairs of really great boots recently, but with summer coming it's flip-flops all the way. After discussions about Summer Hair, I think platinum blonde may have just edged out green or pink. Otherwise, there's nothing very "girly" about her.

    Edit:
Ah, I should explain "Summer Hair" Here in America's Heartland where we value our freedom and resent any government interference in our lives, our kids have incredibly strict dress codes in school. That includes hair colors. So, if YC showed up for class with bubblegum pink hair, that would cost her detention time or suspension if we didn't "fix" the problem. Why is it that so many folks like to talk about "Freedom" but still presume to tell you how you can raise your kids, what they can wear, what you can read, what you can believe, who you can have sex with, and who you can marry? But, I digress.

"Summer Hair" means that for 3 months my daughter can color it, style it, any way she wants.

This is my dog, Max. This photo was taken by my eldest daughter with her new camera, and I think that she showed raw talent with the juxtaposition of light vs. dark with it. Along with getting Max to sit still for 30 seconds!
