    New Aiming Technology

For those of us who like GITS (Ghost in the Shell) you'll notice that this seems very similar to the systems in the movie.

I present, the assisted aiming system.

Oh, damn! I need a few of those! nice find, Niclo! By the way, I finally got into the gun club so we can go shooting whenever you want. they have both indoor and outdoor. If you want to go outdoor shooting, I'll be inside watching in the club house nursing a hot tea.

Even the most experienced shooters can upset a weapon's aim when pulling the trigger, and overcoming the reflex to twitch or preemptively move against a weapon's recoil is very, very difficult.
No, experienced shooters DON'T do that. Inexperienced shooters do. I've seen guys shooting into the ground at 10-20m ahead with the target at 100m (no joke), and complaints about bad gun were quickly disproved by the CO when he constantly hit at 300m with the same gun (AK-47, regular sights).

Well CeeBee, maybe he's putting good shooters in a different bracket than those with experience (not necessarily all experienced shooters are a good shot).

True that! I shoot fairly often, and am nowhere near the shot I should be.

Ain't it the truth! Some people are destined to be lousy marksmen no matter how much they practice. I used to be an excellent shot with a bow, but put a gun in my hands, and I couldn't hit the ground consistently. Long gun, hand gun, I don't shoot well. I go out to the range with a buddy fairly often and do bench rest shooting, as well as handguns, sporting rifles, etc. and I'm just not so hot.

Anyway, I think that you can also view the system as a training tool, or an advanced sighting system for experienced marksmen. You don't have to be a hopeless shot for this to have some appeal.

    That's an oxymoron...

A lousy shooter will be a lousy shooter regardless of the aiming system. Holding the gun properly is 80% of a good shot. You can shoot right on the bulls-eye with no trigger jerking and anticipation, if you don't hold the gun properly you'll still miss.

If I didn't know any better I'd think you were threatened by such technology CeeBee
