Never seen this before
This is sort of a FYI. Had a client with a virus infection on Win 7which wasn't to bad. The PC kept booting to safe mode and had pop-ups. Cleaned the sytem in safe mode with combofix, malwarebytes, spybot and ran tdsskiller.
Figured I had cleaned it and then when I rebooted, it booted into safe mode again. could not get it to boot in normal mode. So I figured I would have to wipe out system and start over. Before I did this, I thought I would check msconfig and to my surprise under the boot tab I found safe mode checked. It would seem this virus had caused this. Running good now.
It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!
