Exclamation CL EnsoniqPCI Audio and pci128...No MIDI playback

    2 sound cards....same problem

After fresh Win98 install and running the latest exe files to install drivers for these sound cards I get the following error upon reboot:

!unable to run midi playback. midi playback has been disabled

However, everything seems to run fine even though this message appears on every start or restart.

I did fix the problem with the pci128 by installing the drivers on the original install disk 1st, then updating the drivers with Creative's latest. Thing is, I dont have the original drivers for the Ensoniq card.

Help! I need to get this box off my bench!

You will need to get or borrow the original driver on the CD.
The drivers that you can download DO NOT include the wavesets.
An obstacle is something you see when you take your eyes off your goal.

Thanx eagle..I figured it out shortly after post. I hated to do it, but i just sent a note out with the work order for customer to install the original software that came with his sound card. Hope he has it.
