    Time Bios upgrade

    Hi i'm new to this forum and wondering if i am able to get some pointers or help..... just to mention i am on a very very limited budget so to go out and buy new things are not an option for me at the moment, my laptop at the moment is a Time 7321 and use it just for internet access, I have just installed a fresh copy of xp pro + sp3 on it and anti virus along with a system management program so it's not choked up with junk!! , i wanting to upgrade the cpu and wondering if this is possible, firstly without a bios upgrade or if anyone can point me to where to find Time motherboard bios upgrades, what i could install as a cpu upgrade after bios has been updated.....

    I googled the lappy... I didn't find much but got the impression it's pushing ten years old.

    It really isn't worth the effort to try and upgrade the CPU... Its also very likely that the cpu is soldiered into the mobo and can't be upgraded.

    A 100 dollar bill would get you a MUCH newer/better machine with ore ram etc...

    This is the company (Mitac) that (apparently) made the Bios (confirmation is YOUR responsibility),

    You will note that this is a 'pay for' service.

    However, it gives you the data to search further afield.

    Many thanks for your prompt reply.... and the time you've taken to look online, just a note, unfortunately due to the health situation im in money is short coming, so finding a more up to-date laptop is not possible at this time (i am saving though!!).... but what i have got is time on my hands while i'm indoors hence trying to improve the spec... indecently i have had the motherboard completely out and all hardware off in the process on an earlier soldiering job for the power plug and the cpu is removable hence again me trying to upgrade..
