Exclamation HP Pavilion 20-b010 All-in-One Desktop PC - Windows 7 Drivers needed

    Greetings Forumites!

A client of mine went out and bought 2 new HPs with Windows 8 pre-installed. After a heckuva run-around from HP, I started hitting the Internet looking for drivers.

I have Win7 installed and MOST of the drivers have come together for me through various updates... I'm still missing a few in the Device Manager though:

    PCI Device:
    - PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5209&SUBSYS_2AF0103C&REV_01

    SM Bus Controller:
    - PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_780B&SUBSYS_2AF0103C&REV_14

    Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller:
    - PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7812&SUBSYS_2AF0103C&REV_03

This one I have up and on the network with video and sound working. One of the USB areas on the PC works (2.0 slots). The network card is up.

Here are the details of the motherboard:

    Code:
    Motherboard

I also will be posting about a laptop that's in a little worse shape as far as drivers are concerned.

If anyone knows where I can get windows 7 drivers for this PC, I'd really appreciate the help.

    Thanks!

    -Dave

I think what you have here is a significant issue.
The SMC Bus driver is the main chipset for the motherboard so,
no usb and others will not function correctly.
PCI device is likely a modem which isnt needed.
The USB is likely USB 3 from another outside vendor.
Now as for the chipset you didn't even mention if you installed 32 or 64 bit.
So it will have to be trial and error here
Here is the link for the 64 bit one i believe.
    http://www2.ati.com/drivers/13-4_win...d_ccc_whql.exe
This is the 32 bit one I believe
    http://www2.ati.com/drivers/13-4_win...d_ccc_whql.exe
Now the USB is gonna be tough
I would advise going and getting aida 64 and getting their program and try to identify
who made the usb 3 chip. It likely will tell you who made the USB 3.0 chip so we can get the drivers.
Now why did you downgrade to windows 7?
If it was only to get back the traditional start button and programs list and desktop.
You could have done that very very easily with any of several small free programs like Classic Shell.

    Ferrit,

I'm driving, so I can't post much, but I wanted to let you know that it is a 64 bit install. Thanks! I'll try these in a bit when I get home!

I set up classic shell on my win8 laptop at home, and it has a lot of bugs. I've found several instances where I ended up at the standard win8 desktop theme and I don't want my client doing the same and having to call me in a panic.

This only re-installed the graphics card drivers I'd already obtained. I'm still looking for the 3 items in the Device Mgr.

Likely Dave your not going to find them.
You may have to force the smbus install.
You do know that the ati driver pack is the
    complete chipset and hardware install?

I used the 64 bit driver install you posted and throughout it advertised all the catalyst features. If it installed anything other than graphics, I didn't notice and it didn't say so.

How would I force an SM BUS install?

So far, this PC seems to be behaving alright, the wireless works, the LAN, sound & video work.

I have a set of USB ports online..

These other things bother me, but functionally, I haven't seen any issues with them not being installed.

    Should I expect problems?

All of the drivers you need, except for the usb controller, can be downloaded from the hp website. the drivers are under the all in one 20-B014L.
The only driver I have yet to figure out is the usb controller, but I will post when I find a solution.

the drivers for the 20-b010 all in one can be obtained from the 20-b014L all in one. the only one that doesn't seem to work is the usb controller
