It looks like the sound software/driver system in this computer has some files missing or corrupt.
    Look here for more information.

Just out of curiosity, have you down a deep scan for any virus and/or malware infections?
It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!

So that likely means that the windows update was for the sound max driver. I would say
you need to re install the sound max driver package from the motherboard manufacturer.
Exactly what make and model computer is it?
Then we can find the drivers and try reinstalling

You could go to dells site put in service tag # and then go to drivers for your Dell optiplex
Last thing I remember, running for the door,
I had to find the passage back to the place
    I was before.

What are you scanning with? Anti virus and Malwarebytes? Have you tried Combofix? Either way, you will need to un-install, then re-install the sound drivers.

Must not of been a clean install from windows..looks like I really don't need it any way..so I moved the file from the C: drive and the error did not show up when I did a reboot..everything seems to be working ok...
    Thank you !!!
