Thumbs down Packard Bell (I know!) misery

Please dont shout at me. This thing has just been dumped in my lap (literally).

From a quick look under the cover, I think it has an Evergreen upgrade (AMD K6 2 333). It's a PB Executive. (I know thats not a lot to go on yet but I'm desperate to get this out of here)

When booting, the bios screen appears (Mr. Bios?? Who is he?) and after mem check just sits there for about a minute with the message "Please wait for disc 81....".

Anyone with ideas? And no, this is not a wind-up. Thanks in advance, EmJay.

    Just a quick update,

The hard drive is a few months old, checked IDE cable jumper settings, all OK. but when I remove the drive the message doesnt appear and it will boot from a floppy.
