Post Windows 2000 MS Word problem.

I am working on a HP Vecta 1.3ghtz, 256 RAMBUS. The PC is working fine but when you try and open word and try to type while connect to the network you received an error saying "winword.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log has been created. This only happens while logged on to the network, if you log into the local machine the program opens fine. This is happening with Word 2K, (part or Office 2000, other programs open without an error) Photoshop, and PageMaker. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Reinstall word under the profile that logs on to the network.

Also, what mail service are you using? Outlook? If so remove word as e-mail editor if that option even exists in Outlook 2000. Word as e-mail editor causes all sorts of problems.

The problem was caused by Win 2k drivers installed on the server for a Kyocera FS-1800N Printer. Used HP 4 drivers and everything worked well.
