    Resolved [RESOLVED] abort or retry?

    i have just install a cd-rom,i get a message
    that saying"CD-rom driver not ready"abort or
    retry.after i hit retry i get." No IDE found
    but then my computer boots all the way up
    and i can actually used the drive and the
    computer sees the drive.Sometimes its works
    and sometimes it does not.Please help!!

    First you have the wrong CDROM driver in Config.sys, remove it and the error message will go away.

    Second, the fact that the CDROM sometimes works and sometimes doesn't does not have anything to do with the error message you were getting. It could be a bad CDROM or may need a different connection, or you may have UDMA active in the bios for that drive and it doesn't like it. Actually need more info to determine.
