    Post bootable CDs

    I want to make a bootable CD so I can ghost machines here at work. Does anyone know how to make a bootable CD? I basically want to take a bootable floppy and make a bootable CD. Thanks in advance,

    Norton Ghost will make them I believe. Apart from that most newer CD-burn software can make them too. Pretty sure Nero 5.x will do it.

    Yep all my bootable CDs are made with nero.
    its kind of good.
    Just be sure to take the bootable Flopy image from a good floppy.

    For the images, i have used Drive image Pro, the scripting in it is great.. has for making the CD, i used CD creator.. never had a prolem.

    I use CeQuadrat WinOnCD 3.6 (Power Edition) for making bootable disks and "getbtimg.exe" utility for making image files. WinOnCD can make bootable CDs with emulating booting from the harddrive also,by the way.

    Adaptec EZ CD creator 4.2 or higher will do them also, look to the right of the "new" button on the gui.You'll see a downward wedge that shows a drop down menu. clik it and choose bootable CD and it'll adk you for the floppy you want to use....and away you go.......

    nero will do it i use a image file called 288 got it from windrivers a long time ago from one of the links to bootdisks, if we can put attacments to this forum id add it but i will add it to me morpheous folder if anybody wants it! with nero you set to boot disk {no wizard} use image and set it to 2.88mb floppy emulation , then you add whatever files you want i make all mine this way f_prot.exe is a geat one to make bootable! ill add this to me share file asap for all who want it or just drop me an email at [email protected]
    Its not the end of the world but you can see it from here. sys, 1.3 tbird 266 on asus av7 133, 1536 megs pc 133,elsa gladiac gts 32 ddr vidio card, sound blaster 5.1 platinum,{3} 40 gig western dig ata 100, 7200 drives {2}maxtors 1 60 and 1 80 gig ata 10 7200 drivescreative 5x dvd {it works!}56x light on {no shatterd disks yet}and a 24xs plextor enermax power at400 watt and cable modom ! running xp pro
