Athlon K7 Slot A Fans
I have a K7 Athlon Slot A 700Mhz cpu, and it currently has a 120mm fan with a special housing to fit around the CPU. I am going to be moving the system to a Antec sx1000 case, and need a new way of cooling the CPU. The old case (gateway) had a piece of folded sheetmetal that allowed the fan to rest on it, the Antec case doesn't. I know they make different slot style fans, but I can't remember where I saw them. Any help??? TIA!!!

There are tons of different kinds including, my favorite, the 3 40mm HSF combo... go search for slot a in the CPU fans at pricewatch... you'll find quite a few starting at ~ $5-$10

Flabooble!
I was just digging for new fans for thunderbirds due to a heat problem my roomie is having. I did some looking and it seems that there is a fan called the Thermalright SK-6 Heatsink that is the be all end all of cooling when coupled with arctic silver2. Here is what I found:
<a href="http://www.3dcool.com/?module=product&sku=Sk6" target="_blank">http://www.3dcool.com/?module=product&sku=Sk6</a>
cooling fan with stats.
<a href="http://hardocp.com/reviews/cooling/roundup0801/index5.html" target="_blank">http://hardocp.com/reviews/cooling/roundup0801/index5.html</a>
the review that says it's the ballsiest thing on earth for cooling.
<a href="http://www.hardocp.com/reviews/cooling/compound/" target="_blank">http://www.hardocp.com/reviews/cooling/compound/</a>
this site recomends using arctic silver II for the paste.
<a href="http://www/overclockers.com" target="_blank">http://www/overclockers.com</a>
go to the message boards and there are a few things about the sk-6 and it seems that most of the old head posters like this heat sink with a large cooling fan and a polished surface on the bottom and arctic silver2.
