K6-2+ Max Voltage???

I have just got a new CPU for my machine, an AMD K6-2+ 450MHz. Replacing my K6-2 500MHz.
I set the voltage to the specified 2V.
Here are some the results I have got.

first the K6-2 500MHz as a base line.

Now I tryed 100X6+600 but she wouldn't post.
I was suprised because she is rock solid at 570MHz (24 Hour SETI run, no errors) If this was a normal K6-2 I would increase the voltage incrementally to a max of 2.7V gain stability.

nullMy question is what is the max voltage that a K6-2+ will run at before frying?

I would realy like this machine to run at 600MHz,I would prefer to have the FSB at 100MHz rather than 95MHz.

The specifications of the K6-2+ are a maximum voltage of 2.1V.
I would tend to stay at that, though if you wanted to try a higher one, go no further than 2.3v, but I wouldn't keep it that high.
You could add some devastatingly good cooling instead...that would be my option.
Better still, get a K6-3+ 550, they work rock sold up to 675MHZ with normal cooling, and a bit beyond that with really good cooling.

Your AMD K6-2+ 450MHz is actually rated up to 2.4V. Check out section 17.1 of this AMD Tech doc:

It's in PDF format so make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Rudders is right about the cooling! At 2.4V that puppy will put out MAD heat. The other danger in running that high of V is that you will decrease the life of the chip. Step it up and then try and burn it in. After running Seti or some other intensive app for a few weeks try and step the V down slowly.

Thanks for your comments, I have had a look at the web site one of you suggested. The price of one of those K6-3+ 550MHz CPU's is beyond my finances at the moment. Also if you are going to spend that amount of money you might as well get a new motherboard and a much faster CPU, it's "bang's for the Buck" I'm looking for. If like me you are stuck with a S Socket 7 board but don't have the money for a major upgraid the K6-2+ is a good chouse. I paid $35 for mine from ebay, now thats what I call getting a good upgraid without braking the bank...
As for the voltage settings I shall be starting my experiments tomorrow, an extra 30MHz hopfuly isn't too much to ask...

OK it's the next day...
I did get 600MHz with a Voltage of 2.5
Hot as hell and crashed whiles playing games, so I have backed off to 570MHz but have up-ed the voltage to 2.2 (I was getting some errors at 2.0V) I have a better cooler, but it needs some modifications. It's an orb, but if I plug it into the board it causes all sorts of problems (load is too high). So I need to fit it with a new plug so I can run it directly from the PSU.

Here are my results:
