[RESOLVED] Proxy settings in IE not turning off
Hi all,
just a small question ...
how do you disable O@H software from enabling http://proxy:8080 every time you restart your PC.
( I've uninstalled all O@H software!!! )
I've looked all through the Registry & bootup files & it seems to be hidden somewhere !!!!!!!!
I can disable it via control panel, open up IE and it's off .... close IE, open it up again, and it looks for a proxy server again !!!
thank in advance

I did it
startup in 'Safe-Mode'-- (press F8 on bootup)
delete:-
C:\Windows\System\ahiehelp.dll
&
C:\Windows\System\ahnsreg.dll
then restart Windows, change your settings and
THEY STAY AS YOU PUT EM !!!
NB: -- i'm in Australia & use Optus@Home as my cable provider.
