I'm new to window 2000 so I don't really know much about how to use it. The problem I have is this my friend just got back from Germany and has a Dell inspiron 4000 note book that comes loaded with Window 2000' the problem is that its in german so I have no Idea of what the menu is, So here is my question is there a way to change the language in window 2000 to english like in window XP or should I just buy a Window XP and install it instead. Thanks

I don't believe this will change the actual OS language. If you purchase W2k in Japanese, then changing the locale to English will not change the interface language. This would only change locally influenced factors such as currency, date format, etc.

You would need to procure a copy of W2k (or XP according to choice)in English.
