Stuck Keys
I am trying to figure out why this computer I am working on spontaneously acts like it has stuck key. It acts like the control and alt keys are stuck and you can press them a few time and it will clear up (most of the time). I have disabled programs from running in the background, I just reloaded it about a month or two ago. It is a gateway Pentium 2. Any thoughts or suggestion.

Tried a different keyboard? (Sounds stupid, but give it a try).
Hang on... Gateway you say? It doesn't have one of those freaky anykey keyboards does it (with two sets of F keys), or the software for one installed?
Check you haven't got stickykeys (or whatever it's called) enabled in Windows disabilty options.
CTRL and ALT stuck? Be very careful pressing delete <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I have replaced the keyboard, it is just a plain windows keyboard. I removed all the junk from startup. It still does it. I am going to give it a virus scan this afternoon.
thanks

Something to think about in the
worst comes to worst situation is MBs KB controller Check that the connector is not
loose etc or if the KBs connector goes at a strange angle to the mb connector
