[RESOLVED] DMA and CD-ROMs
I have a I/O MagicWriter 4x4x32 and I can't figure out how to get DMA enabled. It is only working in PIO mode. I had this CDRW in another pc and I know I had DMA or UDMA enabled on that machine. I had a program called DMA Tool on that pc (it came with the motherboard) and it allowed you to enable and disable DMA for all drives that supported it. I've try checking it off in device manager, but it only "unchecks" itself when you reboot. Anyone know anything about this that might be useful. Thanx.

What kind of motherboard are you working with now? Also, what bios are you currently using?
Need more info.
