If you want a palm cheap, try <a href="http://www.ebay.com" target="_blank">www.ebay.com</a> - but be aware what the prices for a new Palm are, so you don't end up overpaying for a used one.
For just the basic organizational tools, then anything in the Palm III series would do just fine. But personally I would recommend a Palm Vx - these are older units, but have a rechargable battery and a larger screen than the newer M100 series. You should be able to still find them in retail stores for around $200-250 US
The vast majority of PDA's don't have any wireless access built in - you have to purchase an external modem to do that.

I have a palm M105 and i have no problems with it. it comes with a cradle to plug into the PC and download e-mail and schedules to. I believe my company paid around $150-200 for it. Not to expensive and it serves it purpose well.

I cannot promise you'll get one for sure, but in the Hot, Hot Deals forum here on Windrivers the Free Palm M100 link is still good. Here it is:
<a href="http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum3/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=37&t=000379&p=" target="_blank">http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum3/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=37&t=000379&p=</a>
Give it a shot. Aplustech said he got his palm a few days ago.

Come to think of it, some of the Palm III series had a problem with streaking on the screen. But that was addressed in a ROM update you can download from Palm.

I use a Palm m100 and I love it.
But I'm already thinking of upgrading it to the m125 model. More memory and an expansion port.
The m100 replaces the III series - but MacGyvewr is right in saying the screen is smaller (even if the resolution is a bit sharper).
