Angry Anyone notice you can't modify a majority of system settings in ME?

I hate ME and unfortunately I decided to install it on my computer at home, yes I could always put 98SE back on my PC but I'm a lazy S.O.B. so anyway the damned thing is OEM and I noticed my little tricks with OEM don't work, like the logo, or even sysedit won't work. Any tips on how to handle the quirks with ME. Well any comments are welcome.

Personally I think ME sucks a big one. It's basically a glorified version of 98. You should use Windows NT or 2000. Much better OS's than 98 or ME.

All constructive advice is welcome none of this you made a poor choice BS. Or any of that you're stupid for using ME comments.

First I think this thread belongs in the Win/Me Forum.

Second remove it and reinstall Win/98se.

you can get a sysedit substitute from downloads.com or tucows, and if you want to edit oemlogo, oeminfo, etc send me your email address and I'll send you the files you need to do it through winMe, as I did one just yesterday for a customer...

    Thumbs up

get x-teq's x-setup program from hotfiles.com, it lets you change everything with simple to use wizards, it even has a built it plugin updating tool! More plugins are out every week. It even tweaks NT/2000.

Thank you for beating me to it Radical Dreamer
X-Setup is like TweakUI on 'roids! I loaded it the other day and was blown away by the things it let you change! The ONLY thing I could not find in it was things for DUN, like the MTU and TTL settings (at least I haven't found them yet )

I dont know if they ARE in there or not but there is a search built in to find what you are looking for. If not then give em an e-mail, I'm sure that they would love to add something new to it
