Ha, There are some bad places in Philly though, you have to admit. You live right in the city?

Here's a list of Canadian cities (although far from complete). Montreal listed 6th, not bad considering the big population!

Yeah and there are several parts of North philly and parts of University City that you don't want to go to. It's odd that in the middle of some of the worst parts are these fabulous universities.
Philly is very nice for the most part but you can go from nice to crackland in 2 blocks. It's odd.
Oh, and BTW - the ONLY time Camden is in the news it's when a councelman is being arrested for being in bed with the mob or something equally crime/government related. Camden is one F'ed up town. You could drop bombs on it and no one would know the difference.

I live smack-dab in between Washington, DC (#12) and Richmond, VA (#14), so would that make my city #13? HMMMMMMMM?

Little Rock - 47th most dangerous. It used to be ranked higher until they put a lot of money and resources into cleaning up gang activity in the streets and schools here. Glad to see it dropping down the dangerous list.

Where I am is not on the list, but it is one of the most dangerous towns which to drive in though. The accident rate is high for several reasons, notably because there is a high volume of traffic (50K people and one 4 lane highway as a major thoroughfare through the town) and the highway system is layed out so chaotically as to cause these problems. Let's just say personally I had more close calls and accidents in this town in one year than the previous 12 years I've driven....
The funny thing is when I mentioned these close calls to co-workers on a group trip to a meeting, one of them happened (two cars from opposite lanes nearly collided head-on in the left turn lane).
People need to find out the real story before they jump to conclusions drawn from their worst fears.
