winXP pro installation woes
trying to install winXPPro Final on a second hard drive on my PC, clean install, already have WinME on the other HD (primary). installation gets past the file copying stage, and the PC resets for the next. gets to around 34 mins left of installation, red bar installing is at approx 60%, and then blue screen error every time.
i have tried the same copy on my Laptop, installed first go, with no problem.
any ideas?
my sys. tons of free gigs
256mb Ram
latest Bios
Microstar 6330 Mobo
1.2gig Athlon
Creative GeForce 2MX 32MB
Soundblaster 128MB

*tada*. problem solved. basically just needed some perseverence and after a few more attempts, it finally got past the "woe" bit and installed.
now if only i could get the winxp theme back with the nice start bar etc.!
in properties>appearance>windows and buttons it only gives the option "windows classic style", win xp must have been in there when i first installed, now its gone.!

Go to Start > Settings > Taskbar and Start menu > Start Menu tab, select "Simple"...
