I only have 2 issues with it.
1. The shadows need to be extended to vertical surfaces. It looks silly when my shadow dissappears whan I stand next to a wall.
2. The running animation needs some work. Follow someone in spectator mode and you will notice that the models legs move too much for the ammount of distance ther player is covering.
I hope these things are corrected in the final release. They don't ditract from the game play at all, but just look odd.

after playing some more lastnight, I have concluded that this is a really pretty CS clone.
It is way better than CS though.

ok, my last post mentioned the fact that shadows do not extend to vertical surfaces. Well I found a way to exploit that.
If an enemy is standing behind a wall, his shadow will extend under the wall to the floor behind him. Real easy way of telling if an enemy is hiding around a corner waiting to pepper you.

Had a look at the demo...
The graphics engine is nice but definately doesn't look right.
IMO the gameplay doesn't cut it either when compared to Operation Flashpoint. I wish they made more games where there is a limit to endurance. I see the multiplayer aspect going the way of the jumpy jump games like UT and Q3.
Other gripes...
Where's the limb removal of the original SOF?
No prone option!?!?
Physics aren't realistic enough.
Other than that it looks like a half decent Counterstrike or RTCW clone...

There are 'injury' models, and the physics / engine need some fine tuning, but remember this is a beta we're talking about here...
The full version is most defiantely on my 'must have' list.

Limb removal, if anything, has been enhanced. It's more realistic now which is good. The original had a tendancy to be a little crazy.
I've got a server up now running infiltration: inv.king-nerd.com
Have fun!!!

I was on there for a while last night.
If you remember getting smoked by S810, that was me. I was in the zone last night.

you must enable voting, for the love of all things good and holy. I and everyone else who plays on your server are getting sick of the people who are taking advantage of the barrel hiding trick.
