Windows 95 won't start
When I turn on one of my windows 95 machines the computer locks up on the start up. The machine only boot on save modem. I already used the ERD, scandisk, disk defrag, deleted the start up program, sysedit and etc. And, the machine is still not boot normally and keeping frozen every time the computer is turn on. Even when I am on safe modem I can't access the printer window or control panel.
I would like to know how to fix this machine without reinstalling the windows 95.
I appreciate any comment to help me to fix this problem
thanks much

Ok, lets start at the beginning
How old is this machine, what machine is it? (Compaq or HP or what?)
When did this start happening?
Do you have a virus checker?
And have you updated the virus checker recently?

Sounds like the whole install is gone south. I would say its format and reinstall time
I would most likely pull all the cards out and leave just Video Memory CPU and Harddrive and get a clean install using that. Then add the cards back 1 at a time making sure each installs and doesnt cause lockups.
