cloning hd
I tried using Drive Image 2002 but the program doesn't accept to extract the image into the drive where the image is saved already. Is there a way to make the program proceed anyway? If not, how could I use Norton ghost in order to clone a hd? The options I saw of Ghost are either for network boots or for boots with cds and cables. What should I do?
Thanks in advance,
Doruk

you can't clone your drive to itself with either Ghost or D.I. I've tried making another partition and cloning to the 'extra' drive with both apps. No go. It makes sense really, you can't copy and write to a floppy disk at the same time either.
I would say your options are:
Put a slave HD in your machine, clone the image to it and then copy the image back to your master(or leave the slave in your machine).
If you have a cd burner, use Ghost and burn the image to cd's (it will let you span them)
