    Unhappy Access 97 Problem

    Yet another problem with Office 97. Have a question can someone tell me if there is an incompatability problem with a database that was made in Access 2000 and does not wat to open with Access 97.

    I'm assuming that you've chosen "save as" in access 2000 and saved it as an office 97 version. I dont have office 2000 but I doubt it'd be backwards compatible.

    Access 2000 files and 97 files are different. While you can bring 97 files into 2000, it is my understanding that you can't undo the changes and read them again in 97
