Anyone getting Pop-unders when you dont have a browser open?

Anyone getting Pop-unders when you dont have a browser open? I think it may be AIM!!

2 days in a row, i have gotten a pop-under for some computer optimizer program. The pop-under itself looks like the program, but is just a pop-under. Both times I either had my own site open, or nothing at all.

For some reason I suspect AIM. It has been the only program open at the time. Anyone else getting this???

I have seen that same pop under numerous times but I don't have AIM. Have you heard of the new one where another pop under can be activated just by moving your mouse over a pop up or pop under?

I am guessing that you are running 2K or XP go into services and turn off Messenger(has nothing to do with MSN messenger) the Messenger service is for techs who want to put a message on every computer on their network. The Problem is that people can and will use messenger to have pop-ups or unders appear.

Ad-Aware or SpyBot should cure this, or a generic popup blocker if its any good as well...

In my eternal quest for ad-free instant messaging, I've come across yet another alternative. Tonight on "The Screen Savers" I'll show you a program that lets you remove the ads from AIM.

It's called DeadAim and it couldn't be easier to use. Simply download it and extract all the files to the folder C:\Program Files\AIM95. Then change your shortcuts to run DeadAim instead of AIM.

    Thanks Again Tech TV
