In no way a defense for MS having provided a product that was flawed in the first place, but surely some of the blame must be laid at the doors of the admins who sat back for 6 months without patching their servers?
How can they be in that type of job and not understand the need to patch and stay up to date with security?

Yes, the admins have a lot to answer for... it's not as if that particular patch did not get advertised or wasn't part of the latest service pack.
What I am seeing now is lots of hits from all kinds of ips on my firewall on port 1108... can find nothing about other than part of the ssl tunnel...
