network neighborhood
OK call me stupid. New to XP, just bought a used Laptop with XP installed. Did a restore so I have only my problems to deal with. Restore went smooth doing a fresh install. Now for the stupid part...I can connect to my lan with no problem through search but I don't see an icon for Network Neighborhood or My Network Places.
I know I will find it eventually but could you guys speed me in the right direction?

ok its on your start menu properties - right click on a blank bit of start menu, properties, customise, advanced... all the links are in there to what shows up and what doesnt.

Right click on the desktop, properties, desktop tab, customize desktop near the bottom. Put a check mark in my network places.

Yea I have found how to make it classic but my objective is to learn as it is so I can help friends and such. They do seem to hide a lot of things here on XP.
