[RESOLVED] Yamaha DS-XG PCI Audio CODEC

Hi! I'm looking for a driver who can update my sound Card a Yamaha DS-XG PCI Audio CODEC
It's all the time freezing my system when more the one application are running, So may be if an update is available it can fix the problem. Thank's

Why do you think that the sound card is causing the problem? Does your machine lock up when it is attempting to play a sound?

If it is a driver issue, you won't find a driver any newer than what you can get directly from Yamaha.

To answer your question, yes my machine lock up when win amp is in action and also when any sound in a game or any music playing on my machine so ...
And I realy don't know which driver is set to fix this problem at the yamaha site I do not see the exact name or number of my sound card Yamaha DS-XG PCI Audio CODEC

Go with the YMF724 or (DS-1) driver
It has the DS-XG Inf files in it.
