CD Burner problem with WinXP
Since I updated from Windows 98 to Windows XP, I can no longer burn CD's. I get an error message saying NO SCSI ADAPTER FOUND. Is this something I can fix? I can usually work my way around the computer fairly well but this is confusing me. I have had nothing but problems since I installed Windows XP. THANKS!!!

First of all, what are you using to burn cd's?
Try reinstalling your cd burning software first, unless you are using windows native burning?
Check your apsi layer and update it with this

I went to the sight you provided and downloaded what you told me but I'm still having the problem.
Thanks!!!!!

is your burner a scsi device, and if so, did you press f6 during installation of xp to load the scsi adapter drivers?

thats what i'm thinking. you probably have a scsi burner and the XP drivers for the scsi card didn't get loaded when you upgraded.

update your scsi drivers from your scsi manufacturer's site as much as possible, and look for updates too for your CDRW drive,
and then use other cd burning SWs, I like Nero the best , it works well with XP too
