    Where Bill Gates got the idea that computers are for everyone, I don't know.

    I had a friend of mine ask me how to get online because her modem wasn't working. I told her to wait 'till the weekend until I could get over there to help.

    She said fine, she would.

    About 10 minutes later I got a call back from her. She asked me "What are these things called IRQ setttings" and how she could adujst them...

    I responded by telling here that if she wanted to adjust the computer her way she was on her own. However if she wanted to adjust it MY way, she'd have to wait till the weekend....

    every single day...



    I found a way to get around it. Oddly it came from homer simpson. I try to do my job well and it get's me nowhere and I complain and/or work harder and I still don't get farther and the users, management and co-workers seem to get dumber every year. So acording to Homer, I don't get upset, I just do my job half-assed like everyone else around me. It's a bad attitude I think but my stress level is down a bit!
