bootdisk = bootable floppy?
got a bios upgrade and awdflash.exe.
instructions say format dos 6.2+ bootable floppy to add them too.
Can't with xp.
Lots of downloads for boot disks, but they seem to have lots of programs. Are they the same a a bootable floppy? Don't want to get more grief using wrong thing.
If they're different how can I format a bootable floppy?

You can with XP - let it make the bootable ms dos disk, then open the diskette with explorer and remove everything but msdos.sys, iosys and command.com
The you have room for your flash and the rom file.

Well flame me ferret!!!
All I've read gave no help that you could DOS format in XP.
So simple when you know - Put the floppy in, right click A drive, click format and select "create MS DOS start up disc."
Why will know one tell you the basics?
Anyhow - done, bios flashed SUCCESS!
I've got a modem back.
esupport sucks. Charge you for a bios upgrade and it doesn't work properly.
