[RESOLVED] driver download size larger than disk capacity
In dowloading a display adapter driver I was told to get a higher density disk. IS there higher density than 1.44 MB?

There is such a thing as a 2.88 Meg floppy, but I don't know much about it. How large is the file you're trying to download?

You can do various things:
1. Get a 2.88MB Floppy Drive.
2. Compress your 1.44 diskete.
3. Compress the file and copy it into a 1.44 diskete.
4. Use a zip-drive.
5. Use a CD-R
My opinion is to download the file first and then see what you have to see.
You can use File Shredder to split large files into smaller ones, so you can use normal 1.44 disketes.
Download it from here: http://www.windrivers.com/utility/sc...ng%20Utilities
Good luck.

I would try to download it to the hard drive. Then, if you need to take it to another 'puter, use WinZip (or something comparable) to compress it to a floppy.
Just a suggestion...
Good Luck!

File shredder is nothing....if you have to split up a file, wy not compress it too? Use PowerArchiver or WinRAR or WInACE and just make a multi-volume archive that maxes the volumes at 1.38 MB.
