Cool TV Video Port on Compaq Armada 1750...

I have a probem... I have upgraded my Armada 1750 to Windows 2000 Professional. The laptop has a TV Video Port, and apparently the ATI Rage Fury Maxx display adapter that is in the laptop is not supported under Windows 2000, so I can't get it to work. Does anyone know of an alternative driver that I can use that will enable the TV Video Port witout me having to "downgrade" my laptop to Windows 98?

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Well, can you give us a model number of the Laptop? There's like 25 different Armada 1750s on the site, But i'm guessing its the mobile Pentium II 400Mhz, with a 4MB display.

Looking at the Win98 Drivers, it says its an ATI Rage LT, not the Rage MAXX, so you COULD try these drivers on this page... http://support.ati.com/products/pc/r...k_drivers.html

    Just an idea.... <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

The model number is 6300/T/4000/D/M/1. Sorry I forgot to give you that info.

From what I could find, it says that it has an ATI Rage Fury MAXX display adapter. It also says that ATI was trying to create drivers for this adapter, but something went wrong when it wouldn't recognize the dual chips on the adapter.

Use this utility, it will tell you exactly what kind of ATI chip is in your system... and since ATI's website doesnt have mobile Rage Fury MAXX drivers, I'm guessing that its not that. Try this utility here:
    http://support.ati.com/drivers/misc/...pter_util.html

and then walk through this page to identify the chipset
    http://support.ati.com/identify/ati_info.html

THEN, tell us what kinda video chip ya have... I'm still betting on the LT. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
