    trouble burning to dvd

    I just bought a dvd burner,and I`m trying to burn nine 25 minute episodes (.avi format) to a dvd. The only problem is two episodes take up 3.1 GB. How does everybody else fit 5-7 25 minute episodes to a disk?

    recompress them using divx or xvid or some other codec to compress the video to a smaller size
