Exchange Server 2003 Mailbox reports incorrect size
I have a client using outlook 2000...his inbox reports 3000 emails
Exchange server says that his inbox has 2 emails
I was told maybe it's personal folders that has something to do with it...the mail is being download off the exchange server to the outlook client
..I want all mail to remain on the server...what are the steps to configure outlook to does this...or what can I do to fix this.
I would like to use OWA but because emails are not on the exchange server...the inbox comes up empty

If you can copy off those emails from the personal folder, then remove that "serivce" all together. Change the location of where "new email is delivered" to the exchange box. Then all the mail, even downloaded via pop, will reside on the exchange server.
The only service we have installed on our outlook clients is the exchange service (and pop on whoever happens to have an external pop address).
When you look in his mailbox, do you SEE 3000 emails? Is that possibly including his contacts, notes, sent items, and journal entries?
